UCPN (Maoist) meeting focuses on election

The central committee meeting of the UCPN (Maoist) started in its party headquarters at Koteshor, Kathmandu Tuesday, as it focused on possible strategies to be embraced during the November 19 elections of the second Constituent Assembly.

According to sources, central level representatives who were deputed in all 240 electoral constituencies to assess field situation and submit recommendations, are supposed to present their reports in the meeting.

The meeting will assess the reports and chart out future course of action.

In an earlier assessment, the Maoists said they will not lose electoral seats in the hills but need to work hard to expand their grip in the Terai plains. Nepalnews.com
