Bartika Rai has been crowned as Miss Nepal US 2013 at the grand finale of the beauty pageant held at Queens Theater in New York yesterday (August 17, 2013). 22 year old Rai from Woodside, NY was among the sixteen Miss Nepal US finalists that competed for the coveted title. Anuja Thapa Magar, 23, from California and Sony Pathak, 22, from Austin became the first and second runner-up respectively in the pageant.
Winner Bartika Rai received prizes with retail value of $5000 along with the scholarship and gift certificates. The first runner-up and the second runner-up were awarded prizes worth $3000 and $2000 respectively along with other gift certificates.
