Koirala requests his party leaders to fight election in strong, united manner to ensure party's victory

KATHMANDU, AUG 28 - President of Nepali Congress Sushil Koirala has urged all his party leaders not to engage in any kind of ugly contest among themselves for election tickets as it will be detrimental for the party.
Speaking at a program organised in the capital by the women wing of Nepali Congress on Tuesday in memory of the party’s top women leader Late Mangala Devi Singh, he said if various factions in the party comes together to fight the election scheduled for November 19 in a strong and united manner then Nepali Congress would emerge as the biggest party in the Constituent Assembly after the election.
Koirala, however, warned that if NC leaders fail to contest in the upcoming election as a single entity then the Maoists will again emerge as the biggest party from the election and call the shots in the country for a foreseeable future.
On the occasion, the NC party president said that the number of NC women leaders contesting in the upcoming election this year will increase, and requested the women leaders and activists of party to go to villages across the country to ensure the victory of the party in the election.
